Thottie Revival is a lifestyle brand created by stripper and designer, Carmen Bellagio. The idea to create an ankle wallet to hold cash arose in March 2022, when she started working at a strip club that didn't allow purses or phones on the floor. At the time, she owned a beginner sewing machine given to her by her mother.
She started making many not-so-great Banklets with this sewing machine before she invested in an industrial sewing machine so she could try thicker material that wasn't quite working with her beginner sewing machine. After prototyping with numerous materials, sizes and features, she discovered silicone faux leather, which became the foundation for all Banklets.
As demand for the elusive Banklet continued to grow at her home club, she began to look into manufacturing. Knowing little to nothing about this, she started building a team that would soon bring her vision to life.
Now, 33 months later, here we are. Let’s not lose any more money now, am I right?
